David Nock

David Nock teaches and writes on the topics of Religion and Spirituality. His interest in the social construction of the Hebrew and Christian Bibles overlaps his own social location as actively involved in an Anglican parish and choir, and as a sociologist who routinely examines how various texts are constructed according to the social interests that produce them. More recently, he has become interested in studies which indicate the positive outcomes associated with regular faith (e.g. church) attendance and membership. These have been reported in numerous books and articles in recent years and should be the topic of future reports for this website!
